Duration: 60 hours
Curriculum: 10 modules
Programme fee: 12,000.00 TRY

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

A step towards your goals.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) evaluates the environmental impacts of a product or service across raw material supply, production, transport, use and end of life. It goes beyond greenhouse gas emissions to consider water and energy use, resource consumption and other environmental impacts.

The 60-hour programme aims to help participants build an LCA model for an example product, interpret the results and prepare a technical report. It addresses professional development needs in export manufacturing, environmental product declarations and sustainable product development.

From methodology to practice

The ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 frameworks are explored through goal and scope, system boundaries, life cycle inventory (LCI), life cycle impact assessment (LCIA), data quality, allocation and uncertainty.

The planned practical curriculum includes example product modelling in openLCA, interpretation and a final project. Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), Product Category Rules (PCR), eco-design and environmental impact reduction are also covered.

Software and databases are different

openLCA is free and open source. Available databases include both free and paid options. Free software does not mean that every database or professional service is free. A database licence has not been specified as part of the programme fee.

How this differs from carbon footprint training

  • Impact scope: Carbon footprints focus on greenhouse gases; LCA considers multiple environmental impacts.
  • Application: Carbon footprints can address organisations or products; LCA applies to products, services or processes.
  • Standards: ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14067 are prominent in carbon footprint work; LCA uses the ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 frameworks.
  • Outputs: Carbon studies produce emission inventories and carbon reports; LCA produces life cycle reports and analyses supporting EPD preparation.
  • Improvement: LCA considers broader environmental performance of products and processes alongside carbon reduction.

2026 salary indicators in Türkiye

Eleman.net reports an average monthly figure of TRY 47,600 for sustainability specialists. The TRY 76,200 figure on Kariyer.net represents average candidate salary expectations, not confirmed earnings.

These are not verified salary averages specifically for LCA specialists. They describe related sustainability roles using different methods. A 60-hour course alone does not ensure employment or a particular income.

Published project fee examples

These examples have different scopes and are not industry averages or net earnings. Tax, software/databases, verification, registration, fieldwork and staffing costs depend on the project. Figures may change. No employment, salary or income is guaranteed.
